                                                               Steve Ezzo Biography

The Musician  Steve Ezzo began his career as a professional musician at the age of fourteen in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan.  At twenty-one, he relocated to Los Angeles to perform as lead guitarist in a show band at Disneyland.  While in Los Angeles, Steve worked in a variety of clubs and venues from San Diego to Monterey, performed as a session guitarist, and operated his own recording studio where he composed original songs and recorded music for an L. A. record production company.

On Tour  From 1983 to 1991, Steve toured nationally and internationally as the guitarist and background vocalist for Three Dog Night ("Joy to the World") and later with the British heartthrob, Tom Jones ("What's New Pussycat"/ "It's Not Unusual").  During that period, Steve performed on The Tonight Show, Arsenio Hall, and The Jerry Lewis Telethon, as well as in stadiums and venues around the world.  Steve also accompanied Burt Bacharach, Jerry Vale, The Drifters, and The Coasters.

The Bandleader  In 1991, Steve retired from touring and developed his skills as a top bandleader in Chicago, where he specialized in society weddings, country club functions, charity balls, corporate events.  His orchestra performed at the private home of Melvin Simon, real estate mogul and owner of the NBA Indiana Pacers, as well as at Chicago's famed Museum of Natural History where Steve provided the music for the wedding of Chicago television anchor, Diane Burns, and her groom, a CNN correspondent.

Performer/Bandleader/Agent  Steve relocated to Pebble Beach in 1999 where he continues his musical career as a guitarist, bandleader, Master of Ceremonies, and DJ, in addition to providing other musical entertainment through Steve Ezzo Entertainment.  Since 1999, Steve has performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Concours d'Elegance, American Heart Association Ball, TomatoFest, and at countless private functions and public venues from Big Sur to San Francisco including Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco, The Lodge at Pebble Beach, and Spanish Bay Resort in Pebble Beach, where he is currently the featured artist on Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.  Steve also served as Music Director and guitarist for the 2003 Monterey Peninsula College musical, Rocky Horror Show, and is assistant music director at Shoreline Community Church in Monterey.

A Quality Entertainment Choice  Over the years, Steve has compiled an extensive book of musical arrangements in a variety of genres, which allows him to provide music that appeals to all generations.  Steve also has an innate ability to interpret the mood of a crowd and adjust the music accordingly in order to insure the success of an occasion.  An articulate Master of Ceremonies, Steve Ezzo's experience as a bandleader and DJ, coupled with his skill as a performer, combine to make him an excellent entertainment choice for any size function, whether it is a stadium event or an intimate gathering.

Known as one of the top guitarists in the area who is proficient in a variety of musical styles, Steve performs as a soloist, in a duo or trio format, or as the bandleader of The Monterey Bay All-Stars.   He is also an accomplished bassist, vocalist, arranger, and composer and offers those services as well.  As a DJ, he is unique in being able to offer a combination of live and recorded music.

Monterey Bay jazz enthusiasts will recognize his voice as one of the radio hosts for KRML Jazz and Blues Radio Station in Carmel.
