FLEXIBLE BAND SIZE

Our dance band can be booked as a 6, 7, or 8 piece group so that we can accommodate almost all venue sizes and budgets.  Instruments include guitar, electric bass, drums, keyboard, saxophone, trumpet plus our male lead singer whose silky smooth vocals make him truly one of the best in the business and our female lead vocalist who is a bundle of energy and a real crowd pleaser.  Our guitarist, bassist and keyboardist also sing lead and harmony for even more vocal variety.  In addition to our regular band members, we have an upright bass player who is available for all or just a portion of the event.  For background music, we offer a 3, 4, or 5 piece group.  Our minimum band size for dancing is 6 pieces so that we have both our male and female vocalists to cover our extensive song list.  However, our most popular band size is 7 pieces which includes our saxophonist who can also play flute and clarinet.

EXPERIENCE

Our musicians and vocalists are extremely talented; each with over 20 years of professional experience.  Most of our band members have been with us for over 10 years and we love performing together which shows in our energy level, our ability to keep the dance floor full, and the constant updating of our repertoire.

TYPES OF MUSIC

We are a variety band that can cover music from Frank Sinatra to Bruno Mars and the band’s versatile song list spans the generations making us the perfect choice for a wedding, corporate event, or any other event where there is a wide range of ages.  The band is also capable of focusing on particular styles of music if you don’t want the full variety.  We specialize in R&B, Motown, Funk, Soul, Classic Rock, ’80s, Pop, and some of the latest Contemporary Top 40 tunes.  We also perform Standards, Big Band, Jazz, and a little Disco, Reggae, and Latin as well as some specialty music such as a Jewish Hora, an Italian Tarantella, and Holiday classics (but no Country).  To see our band song list, click here:  Band Song List

DINNER & DANCE MUSIC

Our band can perform both dinner and dance music and if you want the dinner music to be entirely Standards and Jazz, we offer an optional upright bass player for the complete Jazz look and sound during the dinner portion.  If you want something more Contemporary during dinner, our band can perform songs by artists such as John Mayer, John Legend, and Alicia Keys.  If the budget does not permit live music during dinner, we can offer DJ music which still includes Master of Ceremony services.  Regardless of what you book for dinner music, the volume will always be at a level that is conducive to conversation.  You are not required to hire the full band for the entire event and can graduate the size of the band.  For example, you may begin with a soloist for cocktails, followed by an instrumental duo, trio, quartet or DJ music for dinner, then our dance band for the final three hours.  We will tailor a package that is perfect for you!

BAND & DJ COMBO

One of the things that makes our band unique is our ability to offer DJ services in combination with live music.  Yes, we know other bands have copied our concept, but three of us each have over 15 years of professional DJ experience and we carry a complete, up-to-date DJ repertoire.  Song requests can be made in advance or on the spot.  For a small additional cost, you can add DJ services before the band’s performance or you can end the night with an hour of DJ music after the band’s performance or we can DJ just the band breaks if you want continuous dance music.  You will be able to view our DJ song list on the DJ page very soon and if we don’t have a particular song on our list that you want, we will download it for you.  If you decide not to add our DJ services during the band breaks, we will autoplay some background music at no additional charge so that you still have music the entire time.

EQUIPMENT

Our sound system is state of the art and all we need is access to one electrical outlet.  Our PA and our dance lights draw very little power so we never have a problem playing in older venues.  We have a new, updated look with iPads instead of music stands for the vocalists and band leader, although our band fronts are still available upon request.  We always carry a back-up system for a fail-safe performance and the band leader is a true McGuyver when it comes to solving problems on the spot.  This is where his many years of experience comes in!
